Short Message from Mrs. Stroud

Dear Whirlwind Families,

The weather was not a friend of ours in January! Snow days are fun every now and then, but not all in a row. I hope you enjoyed some time building snowmen, drinking hot chocolate, or having family game night. We have a few more AMI days to use if needed. AMI packets should be kept in your child's backpack, please do not remove them until they are needed. I appreciate having the opportunity to make up face-to-face instruction with our students throughout the semester.

I challenge your family to do a random act of kindness, love and/or friendship every day this month. Maybe family members take turns, you plan acts of kindness together, or each family member plans their own. Here are a few ideas: call a friend and tell them how much they mean to you, write a note to someone that you look up to, greet someone you don't know with a smile, leave a treat for the mailman, donate items to David's Cupboard, help a neighbor, etc. It doesn't have to be hard, just make an extra effort to spread kindness.

Congratulations to Mrs. Petty, 1st grade teacher, on birth of her third daughter! We are excited to have another Whirlwind in the family!

Have a wonderful February!

PAT- Snow Much Fun Playdate

Some of our littlest Whirlwinds stopped by for the January playdate. Our PAT Educators missed seeing our families due to break and snow days! It was great to have them back in the building! Don't miss out on this month's activities!
