Dear St. Michael Preschool Families,
Happy New Year! The preschool teachers, office staff, and I, sincerely thank you for the many expressions of kindness and appreciation shared with us at Christmas. Thank you so much for your giving hearts - your thoughtful and generous gifts made our hearts smile!
The month of January is packed with events for everyone! Registration for the 2025-26 school year will begin on January 19th for current students and siblings, the 40th Anniversary Celebration is Sat. January 25th from 11-2, and Catholic Schools Week is 1/26-2/1. Information on all these events is listed in this newsletter.
We encourage you to share this newsletter with family, friends, and neighbors, and spread the word about what makes our community so special. Our events are open to all, and it is through your ongoing support and prayers that our program continues to flourish. We are excited for another wonderful year of "Growing with God!"

Parent Teacher Conferences - Wed 1/15
Look for a Realm post with a Sign Up Genius for Parent/Teacher Conferences to be held on January 15, 2025.
Conferences are held with the Teacher, Teacher Assistant, and the parents of the child enrolled in our 3 or 4-year-old programs.
Please note that there is NO SCHOOL on Wed. Jan. 15, our conference day.
We thank you in advance for scheduling a time to meet with your child's teachers so they can share observations of your child's growth and learning.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. St. Michael Preschool will observe this week with fun activities that celebrate our school and our faith. Thank you for providing the gift of Catholic education to your child!

The annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States is almost here! From January 26 - February 1, St. Michael Preschool will celebrate Catholic Schools Week with fun activities that celebrate our school and our faith.
A few highlights include Preschool Prayer at Church for a blessing and story, Big and Little Buddy Activity, lots of gross motor fun, and a spirit week of themed dress-up days.

Thursday, 1/30 Pajama Day
Friday, 1/31 Hat Day for Owls and Pajama Day for Kanga, Tigger, Roo 1 & 3
We also hope your family will support our Catholic Schools Service Project for the Duke Hospital Children's Ward Band Aid Drive. Please send in any time before January 31, colorful, fun band aids in all sizes for children receiving treatments at Duke Hospital. Students will be making get well and Valentine cards during the week to accompany the band aids.
Help us reach our goal of 100 boxes of band aids!!

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
Closings and Delays: Our policy is to assess conditions on St. Michael Campus and the local area to determine closings or delays at the preschool. We understand this may not always reflect weather conditions in your area or follow the Wake County School closings or delays, so please use your discretion when bringing your child to school.
Parents will be informed of school closings and delays via Realm through post, email, and text message to the primary phone number provided. If this information needs to be updated at this time, please let the preschool office know.
On delayed openings, Early Arrival and Lunch Programs are canceled and children bring a lunch and attend from 11:00-1:00 pm. This later dismissal time may interfere with younger children’s nap schedules, so again, please use your best judgment in sending your preschooler on these days.

JANUARY ADVENTURE CAMP

OUR PACT PROGRAM IS GOING STRONG
A program just for Parents and Children to play and pray Together (PACT) during our regular school day. Geared for children ages 3 and under to attend with parent (or grandparent) from 9:45-11:00.

Hopefully, you all had a wonderful Christmas season surrounded by those you love. Thank you so much for the cards, baked goods, gift cards, and other gifts that you sent to me. I so much appreciate your generosity and being remembered. Your kindness and love are truly inspiring to me. It brings me so much joy and I consider it a privilege to be able to sing and dance with your children and I do it each day with love!

Notes from our T/TH Music Teacher - Miss Karen
Dear Preschool Families,
Welcome back! It’s been wonderful being back in the classroom, and seeing the children’s smiling faces. I love each day I get to spend with them in music class. Thank you for thinking of me this holiday season, and showering me with so many wonderful cards and treats.
During this month we will be having some fun singing, dancing, and playing instruments to songs all about winter. In February we will start with songs about love and kindness for Valentine’s Day. We will also be practicing our St. Michael’s cheer!
