CME Blast - April 9, 2026
News from Candice
Hello Cougar Fams!
Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been filled with lots of joy. I am especially loving the leaves that are popping up on the trees and the grass beginning to get green! It is weird because it seems like we skipped over winter, but who am I to complain…but I will this summer.
Our 3rd-6th graders have the first week of CMAS in the books and we are so pleased with their dedication to showing their best learning this week. I am so proud of them for their perseverance! Let’s keep up the momentum as we move into math next week!
A New Marquee!
Well…we have certainly begun to step into this century with an electronic marquee! Yesterday, they demolished the old 20th century marquee to make way for a new era in CME Cougar Communication. We have the installation scheduled from 4/15-4/17, and we are so excited!
We want to thank CMEA and our amazing community for the hard work on fundraising to make this possible! We are truly lucky to have you all, so THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!
Landscaping
It is such a joy to see so many families enjoying our school grounds and playing together after the final bell rings! We love that our campus is a place where the community feels at home.
To help us keep our school looking its best, we have a small favor to ask. We’ve noticed some of our landscaping, especially the decorative rocks and trees, getting a bit of "extra love" lately. If you could help us ensure that the rocks stay in their original spots and that our young climbers stay off the trees, we would truly appreciate it. Thank you for helping us maintain a beautiful environment for all our students to enjoy!
