GREAT NEWS from around the District
Elementary:
- Students celebrated reaching their math and reading goals by smashing a pie in the face of Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Krohn. The celebration came with laughter and yummy pie!
- Our PBIS Team delivered with another exciting school-wide celebration complete with inflatables after the students filled another PBIS wheel of tickets!
Jr/Sr:
- Drama Club had their 2nd show last weekend! We give it a 5 star review!
- On Thursday, our high school band visited the elementary school to kick off a service learning project with beginning band students.
- At our Career Symposium, over 30 volunteers shared the requirements, expectations, and rewards of their careers. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and see real-life examples in action. Thank you to our presenters for taking the time to inspire and educate our students about their future possibilities!
We WON the #MarchGoodness bracket! Saying thank you to our community doesn’t feel like enough— we are truly grateful for the incredible support to fund devices and platforms for a yearbook in publications classes. Because of you, their wishlist is now fully funded! A special THANK YOU to Consumers Credit Union for this unique and unexpected opportunity to invest in our students.
Not only is it March is Reading month, but also MUSIC month. Check out the posters that our students created.
- We want to recognize the nominations for our Unsung Hero initiative to recognize those who constantly go above and beyond for our students, staff, and district. You make a difference. Thank you for being you and impact the youth of Bellevue Community schools: Jessica Hall!

Superintendent Message
As we wrap up another great week, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. The energy and effort shown across our district continue to be awesome.
With Spring Break now here, I hope everyone finds time to rest, recharge, and enjoy some well-deserved time with family and friends. You’ve earned it.
When we return, we’ll be heading into the final stretch of the school year, and state testing will begin in April. This is an important time for our students to show their growth, and we appreciate the continued support from both staff and families in helping them feel prepared and confident.
Together, we’ll keep building on the momentum we’ve created and finish strong.
Have a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable Spring Break!

Tiered Tidbits: MTSS Spotlight 📈
Our Early Warning Intervention and Monitoring System (EWIMS) continues to play a vital role in helping us identify students who may need additional support. By using real-time data such as attendance, behavior, and academic performance, our teams are able to proactively respond and put supports in place before small concerns become larger barriers to success.
Just as important as identifying needs, we are committed to celebrating both our systems and our students. We recognize growth, effort, and progress—ensuring students feel supported and encouraged every step of the way.
As a result of our recent EWIMS meeting, we are excited to launch an attendance challenge and celebration at the Jr./Sr. High School for the remainder of the year. This initiative is designed to promote strong attendance habits while celebrating students who show commitment to being present and engaged.
Together, through data-informed decisions and a focus on support and celebration, we are working to ensure success for all students.
