Hi Robinson Families
December continues to bring excitement, learning, and connection to our community.
Last Thursday, our students who receive Special School District services partnered with our fifth-grade Best Buddies for an afternoon filled with inclusive activities, peer support, and joyful collaboration.
On Saturday, our Roborunners participated in their first Kirkwood Scrimmage. They demonstrated communication, collaboration, and driving skills while preparing for next week’s competition. They performed under pressure and time constraints. They did an amazing job problem solving, discussing strategy, and working together.
Our fifth graders have also been busy designing and creating a tiered birthday cake to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Walker Natatorium. Robinson students proudly presented their final creation on Saturday in recognition of this exciting milestone. Their creativity and attention to detail truly shined.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Glaub, Mr. Wilds, Mrs. Morgan, Mrs. Uhles, Ms. Star, Mrs. Smith, and Mrs. Maldonado for guiding and supporting our students through these meaningful experiences.
Our wonderful PTO is working hard and making grand plans for our upcoming Trivia Night. To ensure a successful event, we need support from our Robinson community. You can contribute by purchasing items from the Amazon Wishlist, making a donation, becoming an event sponsor, or hosting a party.

Every contribution, whether large or small, helps make Trivia Night memorable, and directly supports our students and staff at Robinson. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Lastly, students will participate in Winter Benchmark Assessments this week. These assessments help inform instruction. Please encourage your child to take their time and give their best effort on each assessment.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead!

Winter Parties
Our Winter parties will take place on Friday, December 19, at 2:45 PM. Due to limited space, we can accommodate only four parent volunteers per class.
Each class will need one volunteer to organize and coordinate the party, while the remaining volunteers will assist with preparing and facilitating activities. To give all families a chance to participate, we kindly ask that those who volunteered for the Fall party allow other families to sign up for the Winter party. Teachers will reach out if additional volunteers are needed.
Please note that younger siblings should not attend class parties.
All volunteers must be cleared by our HR via our volunteer process, which includes the following steps:
- Fill out the KSD Volunteer Application via the button below.
- Review the KSD Volunteer Information guide.
- Once you submit the application, you will receive an email with the directions on how to complete the required background checks:
- Fingerprint Background Check (MACHS via the Missouri State Highway Patrol)
- Registration with the Family Care Safety Registry (through the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services)
Skating Program
On January 12-23, 2026, our K-5th Grade physical education classes will participate in an in-house skating program. Skates will be delivered directly to the school and used inside our gymnasium.
The program fee is $10 per student. This includes skate rental for all four skating days, along with delivery and pickup of equipment. Due to insurance restrictions, personal skates cannot be used. Please return the bottom portion of the permission slip with $10 cash (or check payable to Robinson Elementary) to your child’s classroom teacher no later than December 12th, 2025.

5th Grade Dedication Ads are Available Now!
A 5th grade dedication ad is a great way to celebrate your 5th grader. Ads are available to order now through 12/31/25 (Yearbook Ad Sales). We would like to see every 5th grader represented in the dedication ad section of the yearbook. Money raised with these dedication ads helps to offset the cost of the yearbooks and the cost of the photography & pictures for the 5th grade graduation. Please note that dedication ads are only for 5th grade students.
For parents who do not want to use the Yearbook Sales site, please complete this google form https://forms.gle/aj3an2RZKZjp392V7 to have a Free 1/8 Page Ad created by the yearbook committee.
To order a 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and Full size ad, please visit Yearbook Ad Sales. On the site, you can create your own ad by using the yearbook software or select a committee created ad...the pricing is the same.
1/8 Page FREE
1/4 Page $25
1/2 Page $50
Full Page $100
Create your own Dedication Ad Info
If you want to create your own ad using the software, click "Start New Ad" under Student Dedication Ad. You will need to create an account (so that you can save your progress) and then select a size and a template. You will need to complete the ad before checking out.
The committee created ads can be found under "Current Year Extras" at the bottom of the page. If you choose this option, you will need to input the ad information (the wording for your ad and any design ideas-your child's favorite colors, hobbies, sports, interests) in the message box prior to check out. You will also need to email all pictures to be used in the ad to RobinsonElementaryYB@gmail.com.
Yearbook Sales will start in January, we are only taking dedication ad orders at this time. All ad orders need to be completed by Dec 31, 2025.
