Lockdown Drill 3/10/26
Tomorrow (Tuesday, March 10), we will hold our scheduled lockdown drill. Students and staff will practice the RUN-HIDE-SURVIVE protocol, and families may notice increased police presence on campus during the drill. In order to minimize the disruption to instructional time, we will utilize an Activity Period bell schedule. Parents or guardians who have concerns or questions about the drills or their student’s participation should contact Assistant Principal Kevin Farrell at (847) 755-2616 or kfarrell@d211.org.
LAST CHANCE - 5Essentials Survey
The annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey is now open and available for families through March 13, 2026. Fremd High School encourages you to participate. Your input will help guide our school’s improvement efforts. The survey assesses the following five components of success:
Effective leaders
Collaborative teachers
Involved families
Supportive environment
Ambitious instruction
The survey is in English and Spanish at http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/.
We highly encourage you to participate in this short survey. Note all parents or legal guardians are able to take one survey for every student you have enrolled in our schools.
It is administered by UChicago Impact at the University of Chicago on behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education. It is important to us that each student’s family complete this survey, as we are then provided helpful information and feedback for improvement.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact our school’s survey coordinator, Assistant Principal Scott Newmark at 847-755-2618.
Thank you!
Viking Boutique 3/19/26
The Viking Boutique is looking for formal wear donations! If you or a family member is looking to donate formal dresses (midi or long length), suits, shoes, accessories or unopened makeup/hair tools, please drop them off in our donation bin inside of Door 1!
Our free Viking Boutique event will be on Thursday, March 19th, outside of the auditorium, during all lunch periods! This is a free event for students looking for something to wear to prom! Let Mrs. Connor or Mrs. Cardenas (both in student services) know if you have questions.
Student Blood Drive 3/20/26
Students 16 and older are invited to donate blood at Student Council's Student Blood Drive on Friday March 20, 2026, during off periods or lunch hours in the South Gym. 16 year old students will need a signed parent permission. Students will need to bring a valid state id/driver's license to show proof of age.

Senior Job Fair 4/23/26
The 2026 Senior Job Fair is open to all District 211 Seniors who are planning on entering the workforce after graduation. Transportation to and from Schaumburg High School will be provided for students from our other District 211 high schools. Please see the District 211 website for more information.
Please note that this event is not for summer-only jobs or students who plan to attend a college or university full-time in the fall. It is a good fit for students who plan to work while also taking classes at Harper College.
This event will include more than 80 employers prepared to offer entry-level jobs to our graduates in areas that will help our students launch their careers. The Job Fair will cover roles in pathways such as manufacturing, healthcare and skilled trades, partnering with local growing businesses. Current employers participating can be found on the District 211 Senior Job Fair website. Continue to monitor for the most up-to-date list of participating employers.
The D211 Senior Job Fair will be held during the school day at Schaumburg High School. To attend, students must download and submit a completed Senior Job Fair Permission Slip and return it to their Career Advisor in their school. Paper copies of the permission slip forms are also available at school through your Career Advisor. Consider having a supply of paper permission slip forms available in your classroom.
Career Advisors will coordinate directly with students to support registration, collect permission slip forms, and coordinate transportation.
