I hope this message finds you well! I have several important updates and celebrations to share with you.
First, thank you to all of our families who came out to support your students at our January Tiger of the Month Celebration. We are so proud of our students and appreciate your continued partnership in recognizing their achievements.
💘 Valentine’s Day Reminder:
Valentine’s Day is tomorrow! Our students enjoyed celebrating today by exchanging cards and small gifts with their classmates. It was wonderful to see the kindness, smiles, and friendship shared throughout the building.
A special thank you to our parents and guardians for sending in treats and goodies for both our staff and students. Your generosity and thoughtfulness helped make the day extra special for everyone!

Our Main Street Spelling Bee winners in grades 3–5 will proudly represent our school as they compete alongside students from across the district. We are excited to cheer them on and wish them the best of luck!
✊🏾 Afterschool Black History Program & PTO Meeting
Join us on:
We will celebrate and honor Black History Month through student performances and presentations. Our PTO meeting will also take place during this time. We hope to see many of our families there as we celebrate culture, history, and community together.
📵 Policy Reminder – Cell Phones
Please be reminded that cell phone usage is not permitted during school hours. If a student is found using a cell phone, the device will be confiscated in accordance with school policy. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a focused and distraction-free learning environment.
📈 Attendance Matters!
Our yearly goal for average attendance is 90%. Due to recent illnesses and inclement weather, our attendance rate decreased to 66% this week. Let’s keep moving upward — we can do it!
Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in your child’s academic success. Students who attend school daily are more likely to stay on track, build strong learning habits, and make meaningful growth in reading and math.
How you can help:
✅ Ensure your child arrives at school on time each morning
✅ Avoid early dismissals whenever possible
✅ Schedule appointments after school hours when possible
✅ Remember — every minute of instruction counts!
