Nauset App Help Page

Families should download the Nauset App to receive school updates, alerts, and messages. Please note: some people have mistakenly downloaded the Thrillshare App instead. The Thrillshare App is for staff only and does not allow families to log in. To help, we have created the Nauset App Help Page on the district website under the Students and Families tab. This page includes written guides and short tutorials to walk you through downloading and using the app. Visit the page here: Nauset App Help Page

Hello NRMS Families,

This year, our year-long courses including English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages are operating on a trimester system. Our exploratory courses are still on a quarter system. We will publish report cards this year three times. At the end of this month, on October 29 and 30, we encourage you to schedule conferences with two team teachers (English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) along with the world language teacher and any exploratory teachers your child has this first term. Please review the process for signing up for conferences above. As we continue to work with students on taking more ownership for their learning, we do expect that they will join you at their conferences. This allows us to speak with students about their strengths and areas for growth and make a plan for improvement.

Report cards are a formal system for reporting grades. Our intention is for there to be regular check-ins, communication, and/or opportunities for access to student progress in real time. In other words, we encourage you to work together with your student to monitor their academic progress. We encourage you not to wait until conferences or report cards to hear or read for the first time how your student is performing in their classes. Instead, please have regular conversations at home and please reach out to teachers and/or counselors whenever you have questions or would like additional information.

Enjoy the long weekend. Next week we have a Wear Pink spirit day on Wednesday and the first school social/dance of the year on Friday.

Peter Cohen, Ed.D.

Principal
