Open House at Pierce School

Join in at school to learn all about what's happening in your student's class this year. There will be a scavenger hunt during the Open House, along with various organizations present for questions and an opportunity to hear about the great things available to the Bennington community. We hope you'll plan to come to our Open House event, 9/26, Thursday, 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

Second Graders Started Gardening with Cornucopia this Week!

Keep growing great things and blossoming! We're learning and growing everyday!

Playground Update:

We are still on track for a new playground to be installed at the end of October! The Ben Shaefer Playground Company is installing our new playground and building it for us, which will be wonderful for all students and the community! We are grateful for all of the support and contributions that led to this wonderful change coming to Pierce School this fall!

Our fabulous PTO was able to donate the final $305.60 to make this playground possible just this week, coming in at just over $60,000 raised for our new playground! Way to go, Bennington! You are amazing!

2nd, 3rd, and 4th Graders Get to Visit Kate DiCamillo in Concord

On Friday, October 4th, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students from Pierce School will attend a field trip to the Concord Capital Center for the Arts to visit with renowned author Kate DiCamillo. A live presentation by two-time Newbery medal winning author whose works include bestsellers Because of Winn-Dixie, The Tale of Despereaux, and the Mercy Watson series. Many of her novels have been turned into exciting feature films. Kate will speak about why she writes and how she creates her beloved stories.

We are truly lucky to be able to attend this event, it is SOLD OUT! Way to go, Pierce School! Field trip permission slips will be coming home this week.

BONUS: Tickets include a first-edition hardcover copy of Kate’s fall release Hotel Balzaar!
