🎭 BROADWAY SHOWSTOPPERS 🎶
Elementary School Dance Performance
Join us for an exciting afternoon of music, movement, and Broadway magic as our students take the stage!
📅 Date: April 8th
⏰ Time: 1:20 PM
📍 Location: CES Gymnasium
Our students have been working hard to bring the energy and excitement of musical theater to life through dance. Each grade level will showcase a performance inspired by a classic Broadway hit:
✨ Kindergarten:
“Let’s Go Fly a Kite” from Mary Poppins
✨ 1st Grade:
“Singin’ in the Rain” from Singin’ in the Rain
✨ 2nd Grade:
“It’s a Hard Knock Life” from Annie
✨ 3rd Grade:
“The Greatest Show” from The Greatest Showman
✨ 4th Grade:
“Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better” from Annie Get Your Gun
✨ 5th Grade:
“Carrying the Banner” from Newsies
✨ 6th Grade:
Our 6th grade students have taken on the role of choreographers creating their own original dances and auditioning for featured spots in the show. All 6th graders will also be performing in the full-school finale!
🌟 Finale Performance (All Students & Staff):
“We Go Together” from Grease
We can’t wait to share this fun and memorable performance with you. Come support our talented students as they shine on stage!
We hope to see you there!
Students in the 5th and 6th grade Tech Ambassador program have been working hard to prepare for the first annual "STEAM Week" which will take place from April 6-10th! The idea behind STEAM education, (which incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) is to provide a multidisciplinary approach that builds critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills around technical subjects.
This group has been preparing a set of special workshops for each grade level. Lessons include programming robots, coding with lego kits, building an electrical circuit in Minecraft, creating art with handmade robots or 3D pens, and composing an original song with looping instruments.
The week will conclude with a visit from ECHO educators, who will be bringing a variety of hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities to CES as part of their traveling STEM fair!

Feeling the Winter Blues? You’re Not Alone.
Winter can feel heavy - shorter days, colder weather, less time outside, and changes in routine can affect mood and energy. It’s normal to notice shifts in how you’re feeling during this time of year.
Some signs to watch for include:
- Feeling more tired than usual
- Losing interest in things you usually enjoy
- Feeling down, irritable, or disconnected
- Sleeping more (or less) than usual
- Wanting to isolate or withdraw from others
If these feelings last more than a couple of weeks, or start to interfere with school, friendships, or daily life, it’s important to reach out. Talking with a trusted adult, school counselor, coach, or friend can make a real difference.
Small things can help too - staying connected, getting outside when possible, keeping a routine, and doing something kind for yourself or someone else. You don’t have to handle it alone.
