2024 Graduation Name Pronunciation Request 2024 Graduation Name Pronunciation Request

zoom_out_map

Class of 2024 - we're gearing up for your graduation ceremony, and we want to make sure we get every detail just right – especially when it comes to pronouncing your name. We understand that every name is unique and carries significance, so we're asking for your help to honor that. The form below asks for the phonetic spelling of your name.

You might be wondering what we mean by the "phonetic spelling" of your name. Simply put, phonetic spelling is a way to break down your name into sounds, making it easier for our name readers to pronounce it correctly as you cross the stage on graduation day. It's not about changing the spelling of your name for any written materials but giving us a guide on how to say it just the way you prefer.

Example:

Tara Hedlund

First Name - Tear - Ah

Last Name - Head - Lund

Please click HERE and fill out the Graduation Name Pronunciation Request Form.

National Decision Day: May 20th National Decision Day: May 20th

Monday, May 20th Deadline - National Decision Day

National College Decision Day, also known as College Signing Day, happens in May every year. This year National Decision happens on May 20th. On this day, high school seniors who applied and were accepted into one or more colleges must confirm enrollment with the school of their choice. This confirmation is usually attached to an enrollment deposit.

If you miss the May 20th deadline, you will need to contact the college admissions officers at your intended university's admissions office immediately. Make sure you tell them about any extenuating circumstances that may have prevented you from getting your paperwork and deposit in on time.

At Eagan High School we look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of students and the next steps in their educational journey. Whether they plan to attend a community college, a 4-year university, a certificate program, the military, an apprenticeship, or transfer between institutions. Decision Day fully supports students in making decisions for their future.

The faculty and staff at EHS will celebrate National Decision Day by wearing a favorite t-shirt or sweatshirt that represents life after high school on Monday, May 20th. We want to recognize ALL paths that students in the class of 2024 will be taking.
