RED ENVELOPE WEEK EXTENDED... Last Day to Donate: 10/3/25!
Red Envelope Week has been extended one more week! The Canyon View Foundation’s BIGGEST FUNDRAISER. Donations for Red Envelope Week will be accepted through October 3. What is the Red Envelope Fundraiser? The Canyon View Foundation's Red Envelope Fundraiser is a direct-ask campaign designed to support our students and school community by funding vital educational programs, including funding our instructors for our special programs such as Art, Music, P.E., Science, and IMPACT Reading. Your donations also support the Innovation Station Lab, technology, software licenses, playground equipment, and much more. These enriching programs and resources are not currently covered by PUSD's annual budget so we must turn to our school community to raise the funds ourselves. The Canyon View Foundation’s goal is to raise $150 per student during the Red Envelope campaign, which will cover half of our school's total expenses for these programs for the school year.
Individual, class and school-wide participation prize opportunities as well as theme spirit dress-up days are some of the things students can look forward to during Red Envelope Week. Donate in person at our Movie Night Kick Off on September 19th, via cash or check by returning your donations with the form that your child will bring home this week, or online at bit.ly/CVES-RED-ENVELOPE .
Participation is voluntary and not required.

Carmela Full of Wishes, written by Matt de la Peña, illustrated by Christian Robinson
When Carmela wakes up on her birthday, her wish has already come true--she's finally old enough to join her big brother as he does the family errands. Together, they travel through their neighborhood, past the crowded bus stop, the fenced-off repair shop, and the panadería, until they arrive at the Laundromat, where Carmela finds a lone dandelion growing in the pavement. But before she can blow its white fluff away, her brother tells her she has to make a wish. If only she can think of just the right wish to make….

Parkinglot Reminders
- Please do not park along Adolphia Street between Black Mountain and the school entrance. Parking in that location pushes out the line of stopped cars waiting to get into the school, and blocks the only traffic lane, which then causes the stopped cars to back up all the way out onto Black Mountain Road. It is very dangerous!
- Park in marked spaces only: No curb parking along the perimeter of the lot, No parking in Reserved spaces, No parking in the BUS ONLY area.
- If you are driving to pick-up, use our pick-up lane. Meeting up in alternate areas in or around the parking lot is a safety hazard and is not permitted.
Green Cone Zone:
The Green Cone Zone is located on the east side of the parking lot. This area is reserved for loading/unloading of students in our preschool and Special Day Classes who require additional assistance ONLY (Ms. Marty, Ms. Morrison, Mrs. Ruble, and Ms. Dobson's classes). This is not a parking area for TK.
