Learning for Justice Teacher Resources
Bring social justice topics to life with our classroom-friendly films and user guides. Learning for Justice film kits are FREE for use in K–12 schools, schools of education, public libraries, houses of worship and youth-serving nonprofit organizations. You can go to the website and click on films to order or stream online, based on availability.
TEACHING HARD HISTORY: AMERICAN SLAVERY CLASSROOM VIDEOS
These classroom-ready films align with Teaching Hard History: A Framework for Teaching American Slavery and the resources that support that framework. In these short, streaming films, historians and scholars explore the undertaught history of African and Indigenous enslavement, explain critical concepts, and share recovered narratives that can help students better understand the individual and collective impact—and the damaging legacy—of hundreds of years of American slavery.
Learning for Justice provides timely articles to make you think and publications that are perfect for sharing and discussing with colleagues. These resources are designed to help educators improve their practice and turn K-12 schools into strong communities where all students have the opportunity to learn.
