It has been a busy week this week at PCHS!
Our Seniors took the WorkKeys test, a test that can be required and, in some cases, determine employability at some jobs.
Our Sophomores took the Pre ACT on Tuesday as well. The Pre ACT is a baseline for our students. When they take the ACT as Juniors next year. The state will look at how much each student improved from one to the other.
Our volleyball team made their third straight trip to the Super Regionals in Hoover. They lost to perennial power Donoho, ending their season.
We didn't get to have a bon fire for Homecoming this year because of weather so we had one for Senior Night. Our Seniors and many other students attended the bon fire on Thursday night, listened to music, carved pumpkins and had a good time of fellowship with each other.
Friday was our extended Senior Pep Rally where our Seniors gathered on the gym floor to watch the Senior Slide Show. On Friday night our Senior football players, cheerleaders, band member and AV Club were recognized before the game. The week was capped off with a big 76-29 win over Hanceville earning us a playoff spot in two weeks at Piedmont. But first- Red Bay!
Finally, basketball tipped off this week. Our junior high girls beat Hamilton and Haleyville; our junior high boys beat Hamilton, Haleyville, and Belgreen.
Have A Great Week!
