Weekly Update 2/27

February 27, 2026

Dear Oak Brook Families,

Next week is Read Across America Week. To highlight children's literature and the importance of reading, we will hold a special spirit week. Please see below for the theme for each day. Thank you to Mrs. Walton for planning spirit week, author visits and the other activities she does to make the library an exciting classroom for our students.

We hope you have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Katie & Chris

Science Night

Please join us for Science night on Tuesday, March 24. Oak Brook students will get to do fun and engaging hands on activities related to chemistry, biology, and physics! This year we will have two 'sessions' - to provide flexibility for families and allow more students to participate! Students will rotate through several rooms/activities on a set schedule. Please see the sign up link, and sign up each student based on their current grade level and also based on which 'session' you will attend.

There will be High School helpers and a parent volunteer leading Oak Brook students through each activity. We encourage parents of younger students to stay with their child if possible. Older students may be dropped off. We would also love for you to sign up as a Parent helper in a room! This is an easy job and we need parent volunteers to help things run smoothly. We can't wait to see you at Science Night!
