zoom_out_map Show in original size

We would like to welcome you to take a look back at 50 years of Parkview!

This year we are excited to celebrate Parkview's 50th Anniversary. Over the school year, you may notice our clubs, athletics and activities all finding a way to join in the celebration. They may have alumni at their games, guest conductors at their concerts or 50th themed events.

In this section we will feature images and facts about Parkview's first 50 years!

Parkview Clubs and Activities

Did you know that for the 2025-2026 school year, Parkview boasts more than 80 approved clubs and 21 sports recognized by the Georgia High School Association (GHSA)? Additionally, Gwinnett County provides an Adapted Sports Program called The Gwinnett Heat, which allows physically-impaired students to engage in athletic activities. These programs enable Parkview students to discover extracurricular pursuits that ignite their passions!

Parkview High School proudly celebrates Nataly Lopez, our 2025 CTAE Student of the Year! Nataly has successfully completed the Engineering Pathway and currently serves as President of the Technology Student Association (TSA), where she leads more than 190 members and a 15-officer team. Under her leadership, Parkview TSA has continued to thrive through leadership initiatives, innovative projects, and service opportunities.

Nataly’s impact goes far beyond TSA. She is also a member of the Gwinnett Student Leadership Team (GSLT), President of the Parkview Student Leadership Team (PSLT), and Historian of National Honor Society. She founded Parkview RECAP, a chapter that creates academic study guides to support student success, and has played a key role in building student engagement and leadership across campus. Her leadership, creativity, and commitment to serving others reflect the very best of Parkview’s CTAE program.

Congratulations, Nataly, on this outstanding achievement and for representing Parkview with Panther Pride! 🎉

Cross Country Canned Food Drive

Parkview's Cross Country Team will be conducting a food drive from September 29th to October 17th. Donations can be dropped in the Main Office.

The donations that we receive will be delivered to the Southeast Gwinnett Co-op to support the needs of our surrounding community. Through our canned food drive, we seek to honor two very special people: Hope McKenzie and Tajay Hoppines. Hope was the daughter of long-time Gwinnett coach Willie McKenzie; and Tajay Hoppines was a member of the Mill Creek Cross Country Team. Both Hope and Tajay cared a great deal about others. For these two young people, times were good when times were good for everyone. This canned food drive seeks to honor them by embracing this sentiment.

Friendly Reminder

Driving on Campus Driving on Campus

Please note that students will not be able to enter the building until 6:30am each day. If a student is dropped off at school prior to 6:30am, they will be unable to enter the building until 6:30am when the doors are unlocked and opened.

For the safety of our students, staff and all visitors on campus, please follow our procedures when driving on campus.

  • Morning carpool is on both sides of campus. Afternoon carpool is only on the A building side of campus next to Camp Creek. Any parents picking up on the stadium side of campus will be asked to turn around. Please do not pull into student or teacher lots for student drop off or pick up.
  • Students, please only park in your assigned spot, if you do not have a parking pass, please do not park on the Parkview campus.
  • Please follow the instructions of all parking attendants and staff as they direct you through campus. We all are working to make this time run as smooth as possible.
  • Please stop at all crosswalks and stop signs on campus. The county has installed speed bumps to help slow vehicles in danger areas.
  • Please do not make a left when you are leaving campus during drop off or pick up. This causes traffic to back up both at the school and on Cole Dr. and it creates dangerous situations for buses and other vehicles traveling on Cole Dr.

District Assessment Interim Testing District Assessment Interim Testing

We are preparing for District Assessment Interim season. Students enrolled in the courses below will take a District Assessment Interim (midterm) as part of their grade.

District Assessments are developed to align to the Academic, Knowledge, and Skills (AKS) and GCPS instructional calendars in the areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. These assessments allow students to demonstrate what they know, understand, and are able to do and help teachers determine whether students are performing as expected or need additional support to be successful.

District Assessment Interim Testing Schedule:

  • Monday, October 6th: World History and U.S. History

  • Tuesday, October 7th: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Wednesday, October 8th: Algebra, Geometry, Accelerated Geometry, and Advanced Algebra

The District Assessment Interims will be given online. Student must bring their GCPS issued Chromebook (charged) and a charger.

We ask that you speak to your student about the importance of Academic Honesty. We want to ensure that students complete their assessments with integrity by not using unauthorized technology or resources.

Please be sure to attend school for these testing days.
