Beneke Blast
May 8, 2026-May 15, 2026
Dear Beneke Families,
As we enter the final weeks of the school year, we want to encourage all of our students to finish strong by continuing to demonstrate excellent attendance, positive behavior, and a strong commitment to learning each day. Every school day matters, and we want all students present and engaged as we celebrate a successful year together.
We have many exciting activities and events planned over the next few weeks, and we want every student to have the opportunity to participate and enjoy these memorable experiences. One of the biggest events of the year is our Field Day this Friday! Students are looking forward to a day full of fun, teamwork, and celebration.
We would love your support in helping make Field Day extra special for our students. Please take a moment to see how you may be able to:
- Volunteer your time during the event
- Assist with activities or supervision
- Donate items such as water, snacks, or supplies
- Cheer on and encourage our students
Your partnership and support help create meaningful experiences and lasting memories for our children. Thank you for everything you do to support our school community throughout the year.
Let’s work together to finish the year strong and make these final weeks the best yet!
- Animar y apoyar a nuestros estudiantes

Brain Tumor Awareness Month
Dear Beneke Families,
May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month, a time that holds deep significance for many families across the country—including my own. As a proud mother of a brave brain tumor warrior, I know firsthand the strength, courage, and resilience it takes to face such a journey.
This May, we invite our Beneke community to join us in honoring all of our brain tumor warriors—students, staff, family members, and friends—by participating in “Gray in May.” Gray is the official awareness color for brain tumors, and we’d love for our students and staff to show their support by wearing gray every Thursday throughout the month of May.
Whether you're honoring someone in your own life or standing in solidarity with others, your participation is a powerful symbol of hope, love, and awareness.
We’re proud to be part of a school that cares deeply and supports one another. Thank you for helping us shine a light on this important cause.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Principal Smith
