Reminder that forms and payment are due to the Redwood Office by Friday, December 19, 2025. The only exception with this is the medication authorization form which is due one week before your student's departure date.

• If you need replacement paperwork, forms are available in the Redwood main office and can also be printed from the Outdoor School Website. Payment may be made via cash/check in the main office or online via the Redwood Store.
• Students with last names starting with the letters A through K attend camp January 27-30.
• Students with last names starting with the letters L through Z attend camp February 3-6.

• December GATE Enrichment- “Wolves and Watercolors”Wednesday,December 10,Room 28, lunchtime. Come use cool toned watercolors to paint a wolf silhouette and learn facts about these beautiful creatures.

Teen Center Sports Update- Winter sports tryouts are thi week.

• Girls Basketball Tryouts are Tuesday,12/9 during lunch in the Gym and Friday, 12/12 after school in the Gym from 3:15- 4:15 pm.
• Boys Volleyball Tryouts are Monday, 12/8 and Tuesday 12/9 after school in the Gym from 3:30 pm- 5:00 pm.

The end of the setters marks the first permanent grade for this school year. As a reminder students earn two official grades for each class, one at semester 1 and the second for semester two. These marking periods conclude in December and June each school year. Moving into high school students will earn credits at the end of each semester for classes. Middle school is an important time to learn the study skills and structure that will help them in high school.

• Take your grades seriously Vikings, check Q Connect and communicate with your teachers.
  
• Parents- Encourage your children to email their teachers and CC you. This helps them take an active role in their education, but keeps you informed as well. Teachers emails are listed on Q Connect under "assignments" or "schedule".

Save the date for our Redwood performing arts winter shows. These shows help build the holiday spirit and showcase our talented students. The strings and choir shows are free of charge and held at TOHS. The band show admission is $5 and is held in the Redwood Gym.

Drop off new, unwrapped toys as part of the Ventura County Fire Department Sparks of Love collection. Toys will be brought to VCFD station 30 on December 16th

Attention 8th grade families! This is your final chance to submit a special dedication for your student in the 2025 Redwood Middle School Yearbook. Dedications are a great way to celebrate your student’s hard work, growth, and achievements as they get ready to head off to high school!

If you’d like to include a message and photo, please submit your dedication before December 19th.
