🚨📢Urgent Notice: Busing - Re-Registration Required!📢🚨
As you are likely aware, the district is transitioning to a new Student Information System (SIS), Infinite Campus, as part of a statewide data management initiative. This transition has implications for many BPS processes, including transportation registration.
We would ask that you spread the word to your family and friends that children will NOT automatically continue to receive busing for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year as a result of Infinite Campus Transition. Families that currently make use of transportation services MUST re-register by May 15 to ensure busing will be available on the first day of the school year.
The need to register by May 15 applies to new and current bus riders. Families can learn more and register at www.bismarckschools.org/busreg. The registration form is short and only takes a few moments to complete.
Those who register after the deadline may need to wait up to 30 days from the first day of school, August 20, to ride a bus.
Libarary End-of-Year Wrap Up
It’s hard to believe, but the school year is almost over—and that means it’s time to wrap up library checkout!
May 4-8 will be the last week your child brings library books home.
May 11–15 will be our final week for checking out books, but those books will stay at school (unless they’re needed for homework).
All library books must be returned by Monday, May 18. If your child still has books checked out after that date, a notice will be sent home with the titles still missing.
Please check at home for any missing books. If you’re unable to find them, let us know—there’s a chance the books have already found their way back to the library and are back on our shelves.
Please do not send any money for missing books at this time. If we do need to charge for a missing book, we will reach out to you directly.
Thank you for being wonderful supporters of our Silver Ranch Library!
If you have any questions, please contact Lynae Palczewski at lynae_palczewski@bismarckschools.org.
Are there apps as a parent you would like to know more about before letting your child have/use that app?

Attendance Report Cards
Your child's monthly attendance report card is now available for you to view.
Instructions for viewing progress reports in PowerSchool can be found HERE.
We’re committed to working together with families to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. If you have questions or need support, please contact the Silver Ranch Elementary School office.
Year End Reminders
- Please notify the office of any changes to your mailing address, email address, or your phone numbers.
- You will receive information on how to access your child's last progress report electronically on the last day of school.
- Money in your child’s lunch account will automatically transfer over to next school year, even if your child is moving to another elementary school or to a middle school. If you are leaving the school district and wish to receive a refund, please contact the school office.
- You will be notified about your child's classroom placement in the middle of August for the 2026-2027 school year.
- The school office will be open at Silver Ranch May 26th to 29th from 8:00-3:00.
- Summer Office Hours: The office will be open from 7:45-1:00 June 1st - June 26th during Camp Edventure. It will be closed June 29 - July 31.
Message From the Nurse
Attention Silver Ranch Parents:
- Please note: any medication left at school for your student needs to be picked up from the office by end of day on the last day of school, 5/21/2026. Any medications that have not been picked up will be disposed of.
- Medications that do not need to be given daily, with the exception of emergency medications, will not be administered at Camp Edventure.
Please contact your school Nurse, Brooke, with any questions or concerns. Thank you!!!
Last Call - Lost & Found Items!
Our Lost and Found is OVERFLOWING. At a glance, we see many hats, gloves, and several pairs of snow pants, coats, sweatshirts, water bottles and lunch boxes. Please find some time to stop in and look for any gear your student(s) may be missing on or before the last day of school, May 21st. Any remaining items will be packed up on May 26th and donated to a local charity.
Kindergarten Registration
The 2026-2027 Kindergarten registration is currently open. Your child's birthday must fall between August 1st, 2020 - July 31st, 2021.
To prepare to register your student, it is helpful to gather the following documents:
- Child’s Birth Certificate
- Child’s Immunization Record
- Copy of the parent’s ID
- Primary and Secondary Proof of Residence
For more information, please refer to the Required Documents tab below.
All student registrations for BPS are to be completed online.
The Online Registration process should take approximately 20-30 minutes per student. It is recommended to collect all the necessary documents prior to beginning the registration process, so you can easily upload them to the appropriate places. These are outlined under Required Documents at the bottom of the page. All families may only register their students for the school in the boundary associated with their address.
Please see instructions below:
NOTE: Parents are strongly encouraged to register their students as soon as possible to help ensure placement in their neighborhood school. The sooner a student is registered, the higher the probability of them attending their boundary school. Due to capacity limitations at the elementary level, students may be placed in a different school for the current school year. Students will return to their boundary school the following year.
Age Requirement:
Age requirement for Kindergarten entrance is age 5 by July 31st.
Summer Chess Camps
“That Chess Guy,” Todd Wolf will be running chess camps again this summer at Will-Moore Elementary School.
There will be a morning camp and an afternoon camp each week. Camps will run 4 consecutive days for 3 hours per day.
Students will solve chess puzzles, learn chess basics, tactics, strategies, opening principles, checkmate patterns and techniques, etc. Participants will also be introduced to chess resources that are available to help them continue to play and learn when the camps are through.
The fee for one camp is $70. Students are welcome to participate in multiple camps. If students participate in more than one camp, the fee is $60 for each additional camp.
