Activities Department Update

Happy first day of school! Happy First Game Week!

As we start the school year off, let's go in with a mindset that we are going to do our best in everything we do, because effort is always something we can control. We will be mentally tough and persevere through difficult times, and celebrate the great times. We will be confident in our skills, knowing we are capable of great things.

This week sets the tone for the rest of the school year. All three fall sports have their first competition, so let's get after it! I have included a video to a fantastic speech from Nick Saban, one of the greatest football coaches in history. Let's do what champions do, and how they do it!

Have a great school year!

The three fall sports competed in their beginning of the season scrimmages this past week. There was a lot of great things seen at these scrimmages from our teams, an optimistic sign for the season. We must never be complacent though, all teams have plenty to work on in the chase of excellence. Keep up the work!

Our youth football program had their annual Jamboree on Saturday. With food trucks, 10+ teams, and great support from parents, it sounds like it was a great event for all involved, especially the young gridiron athletes. Special shoutout to our varsity football players who helped out officiating, chain crew, and supporting our young athletes who look up to them. I heard very positive compliments for you gentlemen!

Seven members of our Impulse Dance Team auditioned for the All-Iowa Dance Team on Saturday. Further details to come!

Please reach out to Tyler Bryant or Tina Cale if interested.

Register for Sports Teams in Bound!

Registrations are open for all sports programs that athletes are interested in joining. This process is done through the Bound website. It is recommended to register for any sport you are thinking about participating in now instead of before the season. You MUST have registered, have a current physical form in Bound, and signed a concussion agreement to participate in sports. Ask Tyler Bryant for assistance if needed.
