Dear Wiggin Street Families,

It’s hard to keep up these days with all the fun events at the end of the year!

5th grade parents, please note that Sign-Up Night for 6th Grade Band, Orchestra, and Choir is tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. More information can be found below. If you are unable to attend, you may email the director of the performance group to let them know your child is interested.

This year marked our first Senior Legacy Day that included our current students. They loved hearing the seniors share their favorite memories of attending Wiggin Street. Friends of Wiggin Street also started a scholarship opportunity this year. Seniors who applied wrote about their favorite Wiggin Street memories as part of their submissions. We wish all of them the very best as they graduate and follow their dreams. They will always be Wiggin Street Kids!

Enjoy the many pictures from all of the field trips over the last couple of weeks! The seniors shared many memories connected to the hands-on learning and exploration opportunities available to our students.

This Wednesday is our Field Day led by Mr. Evans and our 5th grade students. The entire student body will head to the Community Center at 12:30 p.m. to begin the stations. Families are welcome to attend and watch the fun! Tug-of-war will take place approximately from 2:55–3:15 p.m.

Students may be signed out directly from the park, but please notify the homeroom teacher ahead of time. You will also need to sign out on the clipboards that will be available. I will try to have the clipboards circulate during tug-of-war to help avoid long lines.

Middle School Band, Choir, and Orchestra Sign-ups!

Current 5th graders have the option to participate in band, choir, and orchestra upon entering middle school next year. The following information is for signing up your child for one of these performance music ensembles.

Sign up night for 6th grade band, choir, and orchestra is next Tuesday, May 19th.

6th grade band, choir, and orchestra are classes during the school day with very little out of school commitment.

This is the only sign up night scheduled. Instruments for band and orchestra will be on site that evening to play again, if you're student is still deciding.

Instrument rental options and information will also be available that night.

If you cannot attend the sign up night, simply email the middle director of your child's chosen performance group with their intention to participate next school year.

Team Tressel Summer Fitness Challenge

The Team Tressel Fitness Challenge is now available for the summer! This is a simple, fun way for families to stay active, build healthy habits, and spend meaningful time together during the summer break. Families can participate on their own schedule while working toward shared goals and by the end of the summer even win a medal! The challenge can be downloaded below.
