Standard Response Protocol

- Hold - In Your Classroom or Area
- Secure - Get Inside. Lock Outside Doors.
- Lockdown - Locks, Lights, Out of Sight
- Evacuate - To a Location
- Shelter - State Hazard and Safety Strategy
SRP provides the common language for emergency situations. Our staff will continue using established ALICE emergency response training and procedures to determine appropriate actions during an incident.

Important Student ID Update
Student IDs have been printed and distributed.

Thank You, Custodial Team!
We celebrated our Amazing Custodial Staff on Friday, October 2
It takes a village to keep our community running smoothly, and our custodians are truly the real MVPs. Every clean hallway, emptied trash can, and perfectly set up room is a direct result of their dedication. Thank you for working so hard behind the scenes to create a safe, healthy, and happy space for us to learn and work. We are so incredibly grateful for everything you do.

Manufacturing Day at William D. Ford Career-Tech Center
For Manufacturing Day, students from the Architecture, Engineering & Design and Mechatronics Engineering programs at William D. Ford Career-Tech Center visited Jacobsen Industries and the WCCCD Ted Scott Campus.
Students toured Jacobsen Industries and learned about the company’s history, evolution, and the products they manufacture. They also experienced firsthand the strong sense of teamwork and respect among Jacobsen employees. From the owner to entry-level employees, everyone demonstrated a shared commitment to the company and to one another.
The visit gave students a valuable look at careers in manufacturing and the importance of teamwork, innovation, and a positive workplace culture.
A special thank you to Jacobsen Industries, WCCCD, and SEMCA for helping make Manufacturing Day a meaningful experience for our students!
🚧The road to success is under construction!
Students have begun their journey into the building industry, starting with core safety protocols, equipment orientation, and project tracking workflows. Throughout the course, participants will gain practical, real-world experience in carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing, preparing them for direct pathways into local apprenticeships and high-demand industry careers.
🧑🚒The next generation of heroes are officially on the line!
The William D. Ford Fire Academy is back in action. Our fire cadets have kicked off their year of intense training, heading to WCCCD every week to master the hands-on skills needed for immediate, post-high school careers.
This demanding program leads directly to state firefighter certification by the end of the year. Our history is packed with more success stories than we can count, and these pictures capture the exact moment where it all starts. We aren't just building firefighters—we are building legends.
🚒Northville Welcomes Three William D. Ford Alumni!
A massive congratulations to former fire cadets Max, Owen, and Nathan on finishing their first year as full-time firefighters in Northville City. On October 8, 2026, they celebrated their official badge pinning ceremony—a proud milestone for them and our entire program.
Did you know that 30% of all firefighters hired in Northville come directly from the William D. Ford Fire Academy? We are immensely proud of them and the legacy of excellence our academy continues to build every single year.
