$1 Dress Down Day
On Friday, October 2nd, DeSales students may dress out of uniform for a donation of $1 or more to support Bornhava, a nonprofit early childhood center in Williamsville dedicated to nurturing and educating children with developmental disabilities and differing abilities.
This special dress down day was inspired by DeSales 2nd grader Kali, whose 3-year-old sister, Ronnie , has Down syndrome and attends Bornhava.
Kali says her little sister LOVES her school, and she wants to help Bornhava provide the same wonderful opportunities to even more children!
All proceeds will benefit Bornhava. Thank you, Kali, for showing us how one small act of kindness can make a big difference! đź’™
Basketball Interest - Grades 3-8
Basketball Interest – Fill out form
Basketball season is fast approaching! Please follow the link to the Form to fill out if your son or daughter is interested in playing basketball (grades 3-8). Please reply by 10/9 so that I can get permission slips ready to go out to those interested. Please note that if we do not have enough numbers to support a team or if we do not have a coach we will unfortunately not be able to have availability for all the levels mentioned. K-2 students will receive further information regarding Open Gym times that are tentatively starting in November. Any questions reach out to Mrs. Hornquist: hornquistc@desalescatholicschool.org.
Curious Critter Make a New Friend - Earn $$ for DeSales
Principal Karen Rahill’s new book, Curious Critters Make a New Friend, is now available for preorder! Beautifully illustrated by DeSales Art Teacher Mrs. Kristen McCabe, hardcover copies are just $10 and 50% of every purchase comes back to DeSales!
The students of DeSales Elementary are out of school for the summer, but the curious critters are in! They enter the school to find an awful smell, soon realizing it's a skunk. The skunk is sure no one would want to be his friend, but the curious critters make him feel welcome. This sweet story about acceptance and diversity will speak to young readers everywhere.
