Good morning Cashman Families,
It is Sunday! Hope you had a great vacation week with your family. It is incredible how fast time is going by. We close the month of April this week, and with that we are just a month and a half away from the end of this school year.
Our elementary schools are going through a lot of change, and we have a lot to celebrate but also lots of unknowns as well. Please know that you can reach out to your teacher or myself with any questions or concerns you may have. It is my goal to make this transition as smooth as possible to all of our students, families and staff.
Monday night, April 24, Cashman will be hosting the School Committee meeting in the cafeteria at 7pm.

A. Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A, Section 21 (a) (3) for the purpose of discussing strategy as it relates to
collective bargaining with the Facilities and Maintenance Unit, AFT-Amesbury relative to a pending
grievance, as an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining position of the
Committee, as declared by the Chair; and,
B. Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A, Section 21 (a) (2) for the purpose of conducting collective bargaining sessions
with the Facilities and Maintenance Unit, AFT-Amesbury relative to a pending grievance; and,
C. Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A, Section 21 (a) (3) for the purpose of discussing strategy as it relates to
collective bargaining with the AFT Amesbury Teachers/Nurses Unit, the AFT Amesbury Multi-Purpose
Facilities Technicians/Maintenance Unit, and the AFT Amesbury Paraprofessionals/Tutors Unit as an
open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining position of the Committee, as declared
by the Chair;
The committee will adjourn from executive session and not return to open session.
- VII. Adjournment - Next regular meeting of the School Committee will be held on Monday May 1, 2023 at 7pm at Amesbury High School.
This Tuesday, April 25 our School Council will be meeting to review progress on our school improvement plan, and also answer any questions regarding FY'24 budget and early and upper elementary level transitions. This council is also another great form of communication between families and school.
