Ms. Kowalchick arranged for the Mamaroneck Library to visit DW this week to share information about their Summer Learning Program and all the exciting opportunities available to students this summer. The theme, "Happily Ever Laughter," promises to be a season filled with reading, learning, creativity, and fun activities designed to keep children engaged throughout the summer months. We thank the Mamaroneck Library for inspiring our students to make reading part of their summer adventures! See the information below and visit their website: Mamaroneck Public Library

Notes and Reminders Notes and Reminders

Safety Reminders for After School~

1. We have noticed students playing after school near the parking lot and around the dumpster area. To help ensure everyone's safety, we ask that caregivers provide active supervision of children who remain on school grounds after dismissal and encourage play only in safe, designated areas.

The parking lot and dumpster areas present potential safety hazards and are not appropriate places for children to play. We appreciate your partnership in helping keep all students safe after school.

2. Our neighbors have shared concerns about children playing along the property line near the side of our building, adjacent to the second-grade dismissal area. This location includes a rock wall and a steep incline, creating a potential risk of falls and injury.

We ask that caregivers closely supervise children after dismissal and remind them to remain in safe, designated areas while on or near school grounds. We appreciate your partnership in helping us maintain a safe environment for all students and in being respectful of our neighbors' property.

Get ready — Field Day at DW is going to be a blast!

Our amazing Phys. Ed. teachers, Coach Linehan and Coach Ciuffetelli, will be organizing fun and exciting Field Day stations for all students to enjoy! Each grade will have its own Field Day on June 22nd, so be sure to save the date. The schedule and times for each grade level will be shared very soon. We will also be sending out a sign-up form for anyone interested in volunteering to help run a station on the day of the event.

We hope this helps make the day smoother for all to help and enjoy!

with a rain date on June 24th

Here are the field day times for each!

Those of you interested in helping out during field day can sign up for your child's field day time or for another grade. A sign-up form is coming in a few weeks!
