What is DELAC?
The District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) is a group of parents, guardians, staff, and community members who work together to support the success of English learners across the district. DELAC provides families with the opportunity to learn about programs and services for multilingual students, share their perspectives, and make recommendations that help improve educational opportunities. By participating in DELAC, families play an important role in strengthening communication between home and school and ensuring that every English learner has the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

¿Qué es DELAC?

El Comité Asesor del Distrito para Aprendices de Inglés (DELAC, por sus siglas en inglés) está formado por padres, tutores, personal escolar y miembros de la comunidad que trabajan en conjunto para apoyar el éxito de los estudiantes aprendices de inglés en todo el distrito. DELAC brinda a las familias la oportunidad de conocer los programas y servicios disponibles para los estudiantes multilingües, compartir sus opiniones y hacer recomendaciones que contribuyan a mejorar las oportunidades educativas. Al participar en DELAC, las familias desempeñan un papel importante en el fortalecimiento de la comunicación entre el hogar y la escuela, asegurando que cada estudiante aprendiz de inglés reciba el apoyo necesario para alcanzar el éxito académico y social.
