💖Happy Valentine’s Day, Sheiko Families! 💖

We had another wonderful week of learning, including our 100th Day celebrations! I hope your students shared stories about the excitement — especially the special visit from “Zero the Hero.” on the roof! It was a fun way to celebrate how far we’ve come this school year!

Our "Big Announcement" this week is STEAM Night on February 20th! We hope you’ll join us for an evening filled with hands-on learning and family fun. It’s always such a special community event. Please also remember that February 20th is the deadline for our 5th grade middle school course selections.

I also want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of attendance. There is a strong correlation between school achievement and consistent attendance. Please be sure your student arrives between 7:55–8:20 a.m., ideally closer to 7:55, so they have time to unpack and enjoy breakfast before learning begins. We start math instruction building-wide first thing in the morning, and when students are late, they miss important foundational instruction. (If your student rides the bus, you’re all set — they arrive right on time!)

Cirque Among Us is coming to Sheiko for an all-day, school-wide experience where every student participates in hands-on circus activities like juggling, balance, and teamwork. The day ends with a live student performance!

We Need Your Help!!

110 volunteers are needed for the entire day on

Friday May 22nd from 8:00AM-3:20PM

There will also be a parent information night on

Thursday May 21st from 5:30PM-7:30PM

Who Can Volunteer?

Parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and family members are all welcome.

An iChat form must be on file with the office.

PTO will provide lunch for all volunteers.

Greetings to our Rising 6th Grade Parents at Sheiko Elementary,

Mrs. Hamilton (6th grade counselor) and I visited the elementary building today to present information regarding the scheduling process and elective options for 2026-27.

Your student should bring you a printed packet that outlines the course descriptions and a worksheet to help organize the choices your student would like to include during their 6th-grade year.

Please view this S'more with all of the details you will need to get your student set up for 6th grade electives.

There is an important deadline of FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20th to submit the requests, it needs to be submitted through the Google Form included in the S'more.
