Learning never stops!
Students explored creativity and math skills by taking real candy wrappers and scaling them up four times their original size to create larger-than-life designs. Through this hands-on project, students practiced measurement, proportions, and attention to detail while recreating their favorite candy brands. The finished projects showcased both artistic talent and problem-solving skills, making for a fun and engaging learning experience that combined creativity with real-world math applications.
Fine Arts Night
From breathtaking student artwork to an outstanding band concert performance, our talented students continue to amaze us with their creativity, passion, and dedication. Every note played and every piece created reflects the hard work and heart that make THS shine.
A huge congratulations to our incredible students and our directors, Mrs. Sweet and Mr. Waters for showcasing such amazing talent. Thank you to everyone who supports the arts at THS!

Weekly Reminders
Attendance = Academic Success
Regular school attendance is one of the strongest predictors of student success. When students are present, they are more likely to stay engaged, understand new concepts, perform well academically, and build positive relationships with teachers and peers. Even missing a few days each month can add up quickly and impact learning.
Under Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines, students must be in attendance at least 90% of the school year in order to receive credit for a class. This applies to all excused and unexcused absences. When a student falls below the 90% attendance requirement, they may be at risk of losing credit for the course, regardless of their grades.
While we understand that illnesses and unforeseen circumstances occur, consistent attendance should be a priority.
We encourage families to:
-
Schedule appointments outside of school hours when possible
-
Send students to school unless they are truly ill
-
Communicate with the campus regarding absences
Every day matters. Being present not only supports academic achievement but also strengthens routines, responsibility, and long-term success. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure students are in school, on time, and ready to learn.
Weekly Reminders -
- Semester Exams - Exemptions for semester exams will be based on the number of unexcused absences and overall grade in the class.
- Be Here & Study - Requirements for the reward field trip will be based on the number of absences (both excused & unexcused) and overall grades.
- School Start Time - The first bell rings at 7:45 and students are expected to be in class by 7:50.
- Water in the original clear container is allowed. (Please leave tumblers, Yeti cups, etc. at home)
- Students in violation of the dress code will be provided with a corrective article of clothing for the day.
The Trenton High School Newsletter will be available through Facebook, or email. (If you would like to be emailed directly, simply email me at danderson@trentonisd.org with Newsletter as the Subject.) We are looking forward to an outstanding year and hope to see you in the coming weeks.
