NEHS 7-12 Welcomes Their New Principal, Mrs. Walulak
Mrs. Ashley Walulak’s journey is a true full-circle story rooted in heart, home, and education. A former New Egypt Elementary student, she returned to begin her teaching career as a special education teacher at the very same school. Today, she proudly serves as Principal of New Egypt High School.
Mrs. Walulak is a graduate of Georgian Court University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Curriculum Planning. With over 16 years of experience at the high school level and serving in school administration since 2006, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and commitment to her role.
She is married to her high school sweetheart and the proud mom of two successful boys who keep her inspired every day.
Though the mascot may have changed since her student days, Mrs. Walulak’s pride in the New Egypt community remains strong. She is dedicated to creating a positive school culture where students feel supported, connected, and ready to achieve great things. We are happy to have Mrs. Walulak on our Warrior Team!
Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Welcomes Mr. Cilmi in his New Role As Principal
Mr. Robert Cilmi is very excited to be named the Principal of Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School. He began his administrative career 3 1/2 years ago in New Egypt as the Vice Principal of Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School. It was immediately evident that the school community was very close, however, he was welcomed with open arms. During his time as the Vice Principal, Mr. Cilmi enjoyed building relationships with the students, parents, and teachers in New Egypt. As principal, he looks forward to building upon those relationships and continuing to foster a caring, safe, and inviting environment for the students of New Egypt.
Prior to coming to New Egypt, Mr. Cilmi spent 17 years as a special education teacher. His teaching career spanned grades Kindergarten through 8th grade where he taught all four core subjects as well as wrote curriculum. He is a graduate of Rowan University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Kean University, where he received his post-baccalaureate teaching certificate, and Georgian Court University, where he received his masters degree in Educational Leadership.
In the twenty-plus years Mr Cilmi has spent in education, a lot has changed. However, one thing that has not changed is his love and dedication to the education of children. Mr. Cilmi is proud to be a Warrior and looks forward to a long-career in New Egypt.
New Egypt Primary School Welcomes Mrs. Drucker as Director
It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Mrs. Jessica Drucker into her new role as Director of Pupil Services, Early Childhood, and Technology for the Plumsted Township School District. Since joining the district in January 2019, Mrs. Drucker has brought unwavering dedication and a student-centered approach to her roles within the district.
Mrs. Drucker’s background in education is both diverse and dynamic. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Monmouth University, she began her career in the corporate world but soon found her true calling in education. She returned to her alma mater, Brick Memorial High School, as a Comprehensive Business teacher and coached varsity gymnastics for 10 consecutive seasons. Her passion for student support led her to pursue a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Georgian Court University. After working as a high school counselor, she found her professional home in Plumsted. She was recently appointed President of the Ocean County Directors of School Counseling, where she collaborates with fellow leaders to advance student support across the county.
Since joining the district, Mrs. Drucker has developed a deep connection to the New Egypt community. She cares immensely about the students, families, and staff, and feels truly grateful to serve a district she considers home. Outside of her professional roles, Mrs. Drucker is a proud wife and mom to two daughters—Mila (6) and Tessa (3). As a parent of young children, she is especially excited to support the New Egypt Primary School, where her work now intersects with the experiences of families just like hers. Her commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and future-focused environment for all students continues to guide her work each day.
NEW FOR THIS YEAR
7th and 8th Grade Students Get Full-Year Courses
For the 2025-2026 school year, we are pleased to announce that all 7th and 8th-grade students will have 40-minute full-year classes in English/Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Last year, 7th-grade students benefited from full-year classes for ELA and math. This upcoming school year, the district will be able to expand it to 8th-grade students and incorporate social studies and science, which is an appropriate academic model for middle school students.
