Principal's Note
Dear Colonial Park Families -
We have definitely had some chilly days recently! We try to get our students outside as often as possible, for both morning arrival and recess, typically when the temperature and/or wind chill is 25 degrees or above. We encourage everyone to come to school prepared, with hats, scarves and gloves, to stay nice and cozy while getting fresh air!
We have so many exciting events to look forward to this week!
- Our Book Fair begins on Monday afternoon and will continue until Thursday.
- On Tuesday, we will enjoy our Winter Concert from 9:00 to 10:00. Immediately following the concert, there will be a PTO sponsored gathering in the cafeteria for our parents and caregivers until 10:30. Families will be welcomed into the building once Morning Arrival is over at 8:30. Thank you in advance for enjoying the full hour of the concert, so our older students have a full audience.
- Our Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, 4:00 to 7:00, and Thursday, 1:00 to 4:00. Both Wednesday and Thursday are Early Release Days for students in K-4 in order to accommodate our conferences. Preschool will follow their typical schedule for the week.
As you know, we are in our Season of Giving and have several opportunities available to give back to our community. If you are able, please consider donating to our Food Drive or Socks for Seniors when you join us for our Winter Concert on Tuesday.

CP Apparel - A Message for our Bus Families
If your child rides the bus and you ordered Colonial Park apparel, please email Mrs. Hahesy (khahesy@stonehamschools.org) and let her know if you'd like us to send the order home with your child on the bus. We expect some orders might be presents, so we didn't want to ruin any surprises!

PTO News
It's Book Fair Time!
The Book Fair will run 12/8 - 12/11 in our school lobby during school hours as well as during Conference times. We are excited to partner with Fantastic Books again this year.
We need volunteers! We are especially in need of some help with the registers, and coverage during parent/teacher conferences. If you've never worked the register, just show up a few minutes early to your session and we'll show you the ropes. The signup link is here:
We encourage anyone who is able to to come in during their child's class time, even if the class appears full on Sign Up Genius we invite you to come shop, or stop by during conference times!

Stoneham Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificates- Chamber “Shop Local Shop Stoneham” Gift Certificates make a wonderful, flexible gift for birthday celebrations, holidays, giving thanks, welcome to the community and employee appreciation. By purchasing gift certificates through the Colonial Park PTO, 20% of your purchase amount will be donated back to the school. Chamber gift certificates are redeemable at participating chamber member merchants. Restaurants, fitness, pet supplies, and more! Please return the slip that was sent home last week with your children by 12/12 if you are interested, if you are in need of another form please reach out to the PTO!
Coffee Cart at Drop Off- The Soldeko Coffee Cart will be making a return on 12/9 from 7:45-9:00am, a portion of proceeds will generously be donated back to the PTO to fund field trips, enrichments, and more.A
School Wide Pajama Day Friday, December 19
Let's kick-off our Winter Break with our Annual Pajama Day on Thursday, December 19! All staff and students are invited to wear a favorite pair of pajamas on the last day before vacation.
