Students Help Lead WHS Pre-Bond Visit
On Tuesday evening, WHS hosted its final community information event ahead of the November 3 bond vote. A huge thank you to these seven AVID students who volunteered time after school to welcome community members, lead campus tours, and share what learning inside WHS is like every day! Assessing our district's facility needs has been a true team effort, driven by input from students, staff, and the community.
At its core, this proposal is built around our students and giving them the safe, healthy schools they deserve.
Remember to vote by November 3rd. The online and mail-in voter registration deadline is October 26. In-person registration is available through Election Day. Drop boxes close at exactly 8:00 PM on Election Day.
WSU Instant Admissions Event
Over 40 seniors attended the Washington State University Instant Admissions event at WHS last Friday! Congratulations to everyone who was admitted, and thanks to WSU for stopping by to guide students through the admissions process.

This Week of the Wenatchee Panther Podcast
Both of this week's Panther Athletes of the Week join Eric Granstrom on the 9th episode of the Wenatchee Panther Podcast. Girls Slowpitch Softball Coach Taylor Files and the ONLY pitcher on this year's roster, Anna Meissner, discuss the team's fall season.
Eric also visits with Wenatchee School Superintendent Kory Kalahar and Director of Communications Diana Haglund about the upcoming $275-million bond to rebuild much of Wenatchee High School and improve heating and air conditioning in several other schools in the district.
🏈 Jensen Bratton, Football
Jensen played a high majority of snaps on both sides of the ball, pumped up his teammates on both the sideline and in the huddle in the game against Davis on Friday. In addition, he had 200+- rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns, leading the freshman team to their first win. Jensen also had multiple tackles for losses and a few sacks and a 90 yard rushing touchdown to seal the win.
🏃🏻♂️ Brooklyn Biwer, Cross County (XC)
Brooklyn ran a 20:00 5k and took 13th out of 105 runners and helped to lead the Wenatchee girls to an 11th place finish at the Battle for the 509 meet at the Spokane Polo Grounds on Saturday. Brooklyn has been a model of consistency this season, working exceptionally hard at practice each day and is always working to get better at the sport. She already has the 10th fastest 5k time in school history for Sophomores with a time of 19:59 and hopes to climb even higher on that list before the season is over.
