Need a Transfer for 2026/2027? Need a Transfer for 2026/2027?

Phase 2 Transfer Window Open

Phase 2 transfer window is now open for those who missed the High Priority deadline or who are now considering transferring schools.

Phase 2 Transfers, will run from March 1 through June 25th for the 2026-2027 school year.

How Transfer Requests Are Prioritized

For all transfer phases, applications are reviewed using a tiered priority system.

Within-District Transfers

  • Returning seniors to their current school

  • Returning students to their current school

  • Siblings of students who will attend the requested school next year

  • New applicants

Into-District Transfers

  • Returning seniors to their current school

  • Returning students to their current school

  • Returning students to the district (new school)

  • Siblings of students who will attend the requested school next year

  • Siblings of students attending another school within the district

  • New applicants

Approval Guidelines

  • Within-District transfers are approved as long as space is available at the requested school and grade level.

  • Into-District transfers are approved if space is available and there is no waiting list for Within-District requests.

Important Reminders

  • High Priority and Phase 2 transfers remain valid until a student transitions to a new school level (for example, elementary to middle school or middle to high school).

  • Families must reapply for a transfer if they move from the address used on the original application.

  • Students approved for a school-year-only transfer must reapply each year.

Morning Drop Off Reminder Morning Drop Off Reminder

DGE Families,

We continue to have students who are dropped off before 8:00am. We kindly ask for your help in making sure students arrive at school no earlier than 8:00am.

The only exceptions are students who participate in Orchestra on Tuesdays and Thursdays or those serving as Crossing Guards.

Please remember that Douglas Gardens is not staffed to provide supervision before 8:00am, so early drop-off is not permitted for student safety.

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation we truly appreciate your support!

I'm Too Tired.... I'm Too Tired....

Ever wonder how much sleep your child actually needs?
