Library Competition
Westfield, Oxford and Coloma will be celebrating National Library week with a friendly competition between the three schools! From April 7th to April 13th, any student who reads a total of 100 minutes and gets a parent signature on their tracking bookmark will receive a prize(once turned in to your librarian)! The school with the highest percentage of participation will also receive a trophy to proudly display in their library!
Forward State Testing
Students in grades 3-5 will be participating in the Wisconsin Forward Exam during the testing window from March 24 – April 25. State assessments, including the Forward Exam, are required by both Wisconsin State Law (Wis. Stat. § 118.30) and the Federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). All testing will be done in the morning since we find students are more able to focus. Please try to schedule appointments around the testing if possible.
The Forward Exam assesses students in the following areas:
Students may take one or more subtests per day during our selected testing time frame. Any student absent on a testing day will be scheduled for a makeup session before the testing window closes.
The Forward Exam measures students' knowledge and skills for their grade level. While the results do not impact students’ grades, they help our school make informed decisions regarding curriculum, placement, and student support services.
