A note from Principal Ballard
Dear Families,
As we continue working hard each day, we also want to emphasize the importance of respect for our learning environment. One of the best ways students can show respect to their teachers and peers is by listening during instruction and avoiding talking while others are teaching. This helps ensure that everyone can focus, learn, and be successful.
Additionally, we ask that students remain quiet while transitioning through the hallways. When classes are passing by and talking loudly, it can interrupt instruction in other classrooms. Keeping voices off in the hall allows all students throughout the building to continue learning without distractions.
We encourage you to have conversations at home about the importance of respect, self-control, and making positive choices throughout the school day. These small actions make a big difference in creating a safe, focused, and supportive environment for all of our Owls.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a strong learning environment for every student!
Go Owls! 🦉

Our Instructional Focuses
High Impact Instructional Practices focus on ensuring all instruction is purposeful, rigorous, and student-centered. Lessons are aligned to grade-level standards and include clear, visible objectives that identify both what students must know and how they will apply that knowledge. Instruction intentionally builds academic vocabulary through curriculum-based opportunities for exploration and understanding.Teachers support students in moving from teacher-led instruction to independent learning through inquiry and gradual release. Finally, students are provided opportunities to integrate learning and produce original work by synthesizing information from multiple sources—building purpose, power, and practice in every classroom.
