STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
High school is a period of time during which students are presented with greater responsibility. Because of expanded independence at home, developing social relationships, obligations at work, commitment to extracurricular activities, and academic challenges, students must confront many trials. Although most students can successfully deal with the pressures of high school, many resort to drugs and alcohol as an escape; others develop severe depression. Students who have difficulty handling the responsibilities presented to them during high school need support, encouragement, and understanding. This assistance is provided through the Bermudian Springs High School Student Assistance Program. For additional information, please contact the HS Guidance Office.

HIGH SCHOOL FUNDRAISERS
Class of 2026 - Seniors
The Class of 2026 is excited to be planning their Senior Trip to Great Wolf Lodge for TWO nights (May 20-22). We will be enjoying the water park, going to Busch Gardens, and visiting Williamsburg. All meals except for lunches will be included as well as the lodging, charter bus, and tickets to all attractions! We still need to earn some money, but we are confident that we can do it and keep the cost at no more than $75 per student. We will be having several fundraisers after the holidays to help us reach our goal. Please consider participating or donating so that we can meet our goal for this INCREDIBLE trip. We are planning a sandwich sale early next year. We will be collecting the first payment of $20 and a commitment to attend the trip in January. Have a wonderful holiday season!!!!

SAFE2SAY
Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late. With Safe2Say Something, it’s easy and confidential to report safety concerns to help prevent violence and tragedies.
Here’s how it works:
- Submit an anonymous tip report through the Safe2SaySomething system
- Crisis center reviews, assesses and processes all submissions
- Crisis center sends all submissions to school administration and/or law enforcement for intervention
- If needed, crisis center may contact tipster anonymously through the app
Check out the website if you would like more information: Safe 2 Say
CARE SOLACE
988 SUICIDE & CRISIS LIFELINE
988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), and is now active across the United States.
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
The previous Lifeline phone number (1-800-273-8255) will always remain available to people in emotional distress or suicidal crisis.
The Lifeline’s network of over 200 crisis centers has been in operation since 2005, and has been proven to be effective. It’s the counselors at these local crisis centers who answer the contacts the Lifeline receives every day. Numerous studies have shown that callers feel less suicidal, less depressed, less overwhelmed and more hopeful after speaking with a Lifeline counselor.
