A Note From The Principal
I hope everyone had a good weekend!
It was awesome seeing so many of our Easley families at the Spring Fling on Friday evening for book fair shopping, two magic shows, balloon animals, Locopops, pizza, and community! I think that was our biggest turnout yet! A huge thank you goes to our Easley PTA for hosting the event and to the volunteers who helped pull it off. Many of you have asked where we order the delicious pizza; it comes from Italian Pizzeria and is connected to the Easley family. Not only do they make the best pizza, but they also give us an amazing deal; we so appreciate the community partnership!
Mock EOG Assessments
Our 3-5 students will be taking a mock EOG assessment this week. The tests will begin right at the start of the school day, so please ensure students arrive at school on time. This is a district assessment that gives us good information about what we need to focus on for the remainder of the quarter to ensure our students are ready for the EOG in June.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday: 5th Math
Tuesday: 3rd - 5th Reading
Thursday: 3rd and 4th Math, 5th Science
The Spring Book Fair is Here!
We’re excited to host our Literati Book Fair THIS WEEK! This event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our library. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair:
The fair will take place from Monday, April 20, to Thursday, April 23, from 7:15 am to 3:00 pm, and on Friday, April 24th, from 7:15 am to 12:00 pm. The book fair will close on Friday at noon, so please keep that in mind when planning your shopping. Parents are welcome to come anytime during those hours.
Gift cards can be purchased both online at HERE and in person at the fair. Students do not need to bring anything physical to the book fair; the registers will have copies of all online-purchased gift cards. Click THIS link for more information.
Your other payment options are cash or a check made payable to the Easley PTA.
You can also shop online at efairs.literati.com. When checking out, search for Easley Magnet Elementary School. Shipping will be free. You can also use THIS link. Shopping is open now and will continue until the end of the fair. The online store has a broader selection of popular titles like DogMan and BabySitters club, so check it out!
Early Release Day
Please be reminded that Wednesday, April 29th, is an Early Release Day and school will dismiss at 12:15 pm.
Child Safety Event
Please mark your calendars for our first Child Safety Event for Families on Saturday, May 16th, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Please be on the lookout for more details.
