The 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. time frame will be exclusively dedicated to your high school students. This change is intended to reduce scheduling demands on signatory contractors and staff, while also providing students with greater access to a larger number of contractors during a particularly busy time of year. Business Professionals of America (BPA)
Region 4 BPA Competition
On January 16, Blaine High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) had an outstanding showing at the Region 4 BPA Competition, held at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids. A total of 128 Blaine BPA members competed in events across business, finance, marketing, technology, and public speaking, all aiming to qualify for the State Leadership Conference in March.
Months of dedication and preparation paid off, with several Blaine BPA members earning a spot at the State BPA Conference, held March 5–7 at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis. Senior Falak Naz Ali shared, "Competition pushes you to step outside your comfort zone and try your best. No matter the outcome, the experience teaches you valuable lessons and helps you grow.”
That impact was echoed by senior Reham Ghalban, who reflected, “Competing in BPA pushed me to grow, connect with inspiring people, and gain real-world skills I’ll carry far beyond this conference.”
At State, Blaine students will compete against the best BPA members from across Minnesota for a chance to advance to the National Leadership Conference in May in Nashville, TN, where they will represent their chapter while competing against students from around the world. Congratulations to all competitors on their hard work and achievements!

When should my child stay home from school?
Many students and parents are frequently concerned about when students should stay home or attend school. The following information is intended to help with this decision.
General practice:
- If a student has had a fever of 100 degrees or more, the student MUST stay home for 24 hours after the temperature returns to normal without fever-reducing medication.
- If a student has vomited or had diarrhea, the student MUST stay home until 24 hours after the last episode.
- If a student has had any rash that may be disease-related or the cause is unknown, check with your family physician before sending the student to school.
- If a student is ill, please enter the absence in ParentVue or call the school daily to report the illness 763-506-6506.
- If your student is not feeling well and needs to go home during the school day, please have them report to the health office.
