Music update

Fourth Grade Families,
On Tuesday, May 19, your student will be performing in a music program at Dayton Elementary School. We know that spring is a busy time of year, but we would appreciate it if you would make every effort to attend so your student has the chance to perform for a live audience. Our 4th grade students have been working very hard to practice a selection of songs on recorders and vocals. Below are the details about the concert:
Who: All fourth grade students
Where: Dayton Elementary Gymnasium
When: Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at 7:00 PM
There will also be a daytime concert at 2:30 PM for any families that cannot
attend the 7:00 PM time.
What to Wear: Please have your student dress comfortably, appropriately, and avoid high heels for safety on the risers. It can be fun to dress up a little bit for a performance, but don’t feel the need to wear anything too fancy.
Students should arrive in their homeroom at 6:45 PM the evening of their performance. Students will bring their recorders to school that day and leave them in the music room for the evening performance. The classroom area will be closed at the start of the concert so if your child has a coat, they will leave it with you. Following the concert, your student will exit the gym with their class and meet you back in the lobby or the gymnasium. The performance will last approximately 30 minutes.
