Principal's Message From Dr. Otway
Dear College Park Elementary Families,
As we close out the semester, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to our parents and caregivers for your diligence, support, and patience. Your partnership has been essential in supporting our students, our staff, and the strong relationships we continue to build each day. Because of this shared commitment, we have many great successes to celebrate and much to look forward to in the new year.
On Thursday, we are excited to celebrate our students’ academic growth. We will recognize K–5 students who have met Typical Growth and Stretch Growth and who have been enrolled for the full school year. We are proud to share that 210 students met Typical Growth in Reading and 223 students met Typical Growth in Math—an incredible accomplishment! We can’t wait to celebrate our students and their hard work.
As temperatures drop, please remember to dress students warmly and ensure they come to school each day whenever possible. If your child is sick, please contact your child’s teacher and request a Remote Learning Day. Students are eligible for up to five (5) remote learning days per semester.
Thank you again for your continued partnership and trust. Together, we are closing the semester strong and preparing for an even brighter year ahead.
Warm regards,
Dr. Maisha N. Otway
Principal, College Park Elementary School

Pajama Day Fun Learning while Cozy
This Friday was Pajama Day, and our students came to school cozy and full of holiday spirit! They enjoyed a break from their uniforms and showed up in their comfiest, coziest seasonal pajamas.
From Grinch-themed sets to Snoopy Christmas pajamas and other festive favorites, every style was represented. While they were cozy and comfortable, students stayed focused and engaged proving that learning can still happen, even in pajamas.
Photos with Santa
Santa paid a special visit to College Park Elementary, bringing smiles and holiday cheer to our students! Many students had the opportunity to take photos with Santa, making for a memorable moment during this festive season. If your student took a photo with Santa, pictures will be sent home with students on Monday. Be sure to look for the photos in your child’s backpack.
