EHT PRESCHOOL

We yet again had a very busy week!

I’d like to very much thank our Parents, Guardians and Friends for supporting our Boosterthon fundraiser. With your generosity, we were able to make and surpass our goal. The students ended the week today with their PreK Little Eagles Dance-A-Thon. As you can see from the all the photos below, the students had so much fun! I enjoyed watching our young learners bee bop and dance to the music. They all had better dance moves than me.

On June 7 & 8, more of our preschoolers visited kindergarten classrooms. The students got to experience some fun activities, and this opportunity gives them a snapshot of some of the things they can look forward to next year.

On June 13 & 14, classes will have a day to share in some fun outdoor actives. More information will be forthcoming from your child’s teacher.

I wish all of you a fun, safe and relaxing weekend.

Sincerely,

Joe Marinelli

Principal

Ms. Kate and Ms. Gina's class at Bargaintown got to celebrate the end of the Insect Study by getting caterpillars. We had a lot of fun watching and learning how butterflies develop through metamorphosis. We especially liked talking about a proboscis on a butterfly.

Ms. Kacey and Ms. Paula's class have been enjoying the insect study this week! This week they are learning about bees and how they make honey, and even taste tested honey afterwards! They are practicing Bumble Bee breathing for relaxation, creating bumble bee crafts and fun songs to sing.

This week Ms. Kasey and Ms. Angie's class began our end of the year balloon countdown! Each day is a new surprise of an activity or something fun to eat or make! We had fun using pool noodles and shaving cream! Some friends made towers while others were making cakes. We also painted with colored ice! It sure was cold but it was fun to move around the paper!

Ms. Carr's Bargaintown Pre-K class had a blast with "Sensory Fun" this week!

The Boosterthon was a huge success for pre-K! So far, we have raised over $11,000. Thank you so much to our families and friends who contributed. And a big shout out to our teachers and staff for promoting the dance-a-thon. The pre-K students had a blast today at their dance-athon. Our top earning classes so far are Miss Barbetto and Miss Bretz at Bargaintown and Miss Meehan at Slaybaugh primary. There is still time to donate if you want, go to boosterthon.com and search for EHT Little Eagles dance-a-thon.

Ms. Meehan's Pre-K class took a trip to Swift School this week to visit a kindergarten class in preparation for their big move from Pre-K to Kindergarten!

Thank you all for your donations of plastics again this year. Our school has recycled 159 pounds of plastic to be recycled into Trex materials like vinyl fence and composite decking for the #NexTrexChallenge! You are helping us teach your children the benefits of helping our environment by recycling. Thank you so much Slaybaugh Primary Families!
