🏆 WRITING TEAM HONORS
The Rattlers competed in the Nevada County Writing Tournament at the Miners Foundry: 7th graders Grace Flemmer, Sadie Kingsford, and alternate Layla McCurdy; 8th graders Josiah Davis, Makayla Moquin, and alternate Addison Hale. All six worked for months prepping for the tourney! Grace Flemmer took 4th place in Informative Writing; Sadie Kingsford took 4th in Creative Writing, 3rd place in Informative Writing, and 1st place in Persuasive Writing. Sadie was crowned best overall 7th grader at the tourney, with the highest cumulative score. Way to go, Rattlers!!!

🌟 HELP US PROMOTE ACHIEVEMENT!
We're treating the grade who increases their honor roll performance by the highest percentage (3.0 gpa or higher). The grade who comes out on top, 6th, 7th, or 8th, will enjoy an ice cream sandwich party! Parents, you can help by dropping off a box of standard ice cream sandwiches at the office to stash in our freezers. All students are recognized for honor roll, but the winning grade will enjoy this extra treat at close of T2!
💙 CONVOY OF HOPE DONATIONS
Bear River's Key Club invites you to aid the Convoy of Hope donation drive. Simply drop off donations of hygiene products, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, bars of soap, etc, to the box in the Magnolia office. The drive ends Jan. 16.

Bitney Prep High School & Maidu Virtual Charter Academy will present about their programs to 8th graders during advisory today. Additional schools will be visiting throughout this month.
