AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college and career readiness program designed to help students develop the skills needed to be successful in their college and future careers. AVID is not an intervention, or remedial course; rather, it is a course to fast-track students to advanced courses and is especially beneficial for students who have not previously been in advanced courses. Wednesday Advisory Enrichment is a designated time from 2:06-2:31 PM where 6th-grade students have the opportunity to explore their interests by signing up for various clubs and activities. During this period, students may be in different locations throughout the school, depending on the club they choose to participate in. As a result, locating students for early pickups may take additional time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure a smooth process.
We’re excited to kick off our Friday Advisory Enrichment for students! This program allows students to choose a club or activity to participate in for a 6-week period, providing opportunities to explore interests and build connections. Please note that during advisory (2:06–2:31 PM), students will be actively engaged in their chosen clubs, making it challenging to locate them for early pickups.
