Library Media Newsletter

Library Media will be taught in "The Learning Commons" formerly known as the Media Center/Library.

We will be called Media Teachers who will be assisted by Media Technicians.

Students will begin the year building routines and procedures in The Learning Commons. Over the course of the quarter, students will be introduced to the following concepts and skills:

• Digital citizenship
• Technology skills that will build each grade level
• Career Readiness & Xello
• Library skills
• Hands-on STEAM
• A place to love, recommend, and appreciate books

Students will receive a library passport at the beginning of the quarter that will help them document the experiences, skills and explorations they complete during Quarter 1. Students will bring these home to share with families at the end of the Quarter.

In our library, we explore new ideas, use technology responsibly, and celebrate diversity. We try new things, solve problems, and work together to make a positive difference in our school and community.
