Cooper Families,
Parent-Teacher Conferences are just around the corner! They will be held on March 4th and March 6th at Cooper. Please be on the lookout for a conference sign-up sheet in your in-box from your child's teacher. If you have any difficulty locating or accessing your conference sign-up, please reach out to your child's teacher! We look forward to seeing families in the building those nights!

Perspective taking and empathy
Perspective taking is the ability to perceive or understand another person's point of view besides your own. It's where you consider someone else's thoughts and feelings about something in order to see things from their perspective. Being able to try to put yourself in someone else's shoes by asking them questions and listening to the answers, gives us more information which can lead to better understanding of others. We don't all have to agree with one another, but to feel empathy and try to really understand where someone is coming from, learning to see someone else's point of view is not only a good problem solving skill, but also leads to a more respectful place to learn, work, and play.
