Salem Families—We’re Going Places Together!
🍁 October News & Notes 🍁
From changing leaves to cozy sweaters, autumn is here! There are many great things happening at school!
A big THANK YOU to our families for supporting our PTO fundraiser! Your generosity makes a huge difference. We loved watching the movie together and visiting with so many of you. It was the perfect way to spend a fall evening.
📸 Picture Day – Wednesday, October 1
🍂 Fall Break – Thursday, October 16 through Monday, October 20 (no school)
⭐ Shining Star Week (Red Ribbon Week) – October 27–31. We’ll celebrate with fun activities that highlight school spirit and the importance of being drug-free by focusing on positive self-image and shining as our best selves.
🧭 School Community Council – Tuesday, October 28 at 3:30 p.m. All are welcome!
🎃 Halloween Parade – Friday, October 31 at 9:15 a.m. Students will parade around the block—families are welcome to line the sidewalks and cheer! (See attached map.)
🚗 South Side Pick Up Reminder
Please enter the pick-up lane from the east and travel west. Students should wait until their ride pulls into the loading zone by the Kindergarten Playground before getting into the car. This helps traffic move smoothly and keeps everyone safe.
Here’s to a wonderful October filled with learning, laughter, and making memories!
Sincerely,
Jen Jolley
Principal

Our Parent Handbook is packed with helpful information about school procedures, expectations, and resources to support your child’s success. We encourage all families to take a few minutes to review it. It’s a great way to stay informed and connected!
