Open House
Tuesday, September 19, 2023
Dear Parents and Guardians at Julian Curtiss School,
You are cordially invited to attend the Julian Curtiss School’s annual OPEN HOUSE meeting Tuesday, September 19th at 6:00 p.m.
Open House gives you the opportunity to visit your child’s classroom, meet teachers, and receive important information about the instructional program. Since the purpose of the Open House is to give general information to ALL parents, teachers will not be able to answer specific questions about your child’s progress. Such individual questions are best handled at parent/teacher conferences, which are scheduled for December, or another date, which you can arrange with the teacher. We would really love to have full attendance of our families this year.
The schedule below allows parents to visit multiple teachers in one night. Parents can visit ALP or Special Education and still attend the homeroom open house time. There are also times to meet with your child(ren)’s special teachers such as Art, Music, PE, and Media. Every staff member has provided a time to visit.
Babysitting will be available at school that evening compliments of the PTA. Please drop your child in the cafeteria and Julian Curtiss staff will be available to keep an eye on the children. We cannot accept babies or siblings that are not yet school age. If you are a parent of a child in grades K-2 you should expect to be at school from 6:00-7:00. If you are a parent of a child in grades 3-5 you should expect to be at school from 6:30-7:35. Plese see the schedule provided below.
We hope to see you all on September 19th!
