Field Day
Today was an unforgettable day for our K-5 students as they participated in Field Day. The sun was shining, the temperature was perfect, the energy was high, and it was a great day! Our students enjoyed a variety of activities that encouraged teamwork, sportsmanship, and movement. From relay races to kickball, every child had the opportunity to showcase their skills and have fun with their classmates. The joy on their faces was truly priceless, and it was heartwarming to see them cheering each other on and celebrating their achievements together.
We owe a huge thank you to our PE teacher Mr. Ilg, our Field Day Coordinators Amanda Young and Courtney DiStefano, and all the wonderful parent volunteers who made this day possible. Their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm were evident in every aspect of the event, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that our students had a blast. It was great to see so many parents and families attending as spectators as well. Field Day is a cherished tradition at our school, and it is because of the incredible support from our school community that we can create such memorable experiences for our children.
Staffing Update
In my June newsletter, I will have an update on staffing as we are still finalizing those details. As you saw in the email this week, we have begun the search for our next Assistant Principal and we will provide you with updates as they are available.
School Supplies
As a staff, we have identified the materials that we will provide all students with, as well as the items that we are going to ask families to provide. This year, we will no longer use the company that organized school kits for the students with supplies. Instead, our grade levels are putting together lists of materials that they would like students to bring in, think folders, binders, and notebooks. We will have the finalized list for you in my June newsletter and then they will be posted on the website. Teachers will add the lists to their summer communications as well.
Haynes Operational Reminders
- We are excited to see many students walking/riding bikes to/from school. A reminder - if your student(s) walk/ride their bikes to school and they are not typically dismissed to our walker/biker line, please complete the Google Form each day your student(s) will have a dismissal change to avoid confusion at the end of the school day.
