Your Work. Your Voice. Your HawksCenter.

Students (Middle and High!), every first and third Tuesday, HawksCenter, SkyView’s Student Life Newsletter, is shared with middle and high school students, families, and staff—and we want you to help create it!

HawksCenter showcases student voices, creativity, talent, and everything happening across SkyView. And you don’t have to be a writer to contribute.

You can share class projects, artwork, photography, journalism pieces, Student Council or NHS updates, club highlights, sports content, and more.

If you created it and it helps tell the story of student life at SkyView, we want to see it.

Ready to be featured?

Submit your work here for a chance to appear in an upcoming HawksCenter!

Not every submission will appear right away, but we’ll review everything you send.

This is your school. Your perspective. Your work. Help us tell the story.

Please Don't Park in Senior Parking

Our seniors spent Saturday morning personalizing their specially paid-for senior parking spots. Aren't they beautifully creative?!

These spots have been paid for and are therefore not available for parking by the rest of the SVA Community at any time during the school day. When you visit SkyView, please park in one of our many designated visitor spots. Thank you for helping honor our class of 2027!

Cross-Cultural Connections in Sra. Lobb’s Spanish Classes!

Something incredible is happening in Sra. Lobb’s Spanish classes! Our middle schoolers have officially partnered with students at Southern Cross School and Colegio Bicentenario in Santiago, Chile, through the secure global network ePals to launch an exciting dual-language exchange.

The Chilean students are practicing their English by writing to our students first, and then our Spanish students are building their language skills by responding in Spanish! Through these letters, students will compare teenage life across continents, discover shared passions, and learn about daily life in South America.

To prepare for their first batch of mail arriving, Sra. Lobb hosted a special Culture Friday to help students explore Chilean traditions, geography, and lifestyle. Projects like this bring language to life, foster global empathy, and might even build friendships that last a lifetime.

Kabuki Theater

Mrs. Vitulli's 7th-grade Drama students started the fall semester by studying Japanese Kabuki Theater. Students created a costume design and applied their own Kumadori-style makeup during class. Cloth face prints are a traditional souvenir of Kabuki Theater.
