Hi Turtleback Families!

Emi here, Turtleback’s Foundation President!

Our Foundation Team works throughout the year to help fund educational programs (Art, Science, PE), teacher support, school events, and other opportunities that make our kiddos experience at Turtleback extra special. None of it would be possible without the support of our amazing families and community! We have so many fun things planned for this year! So stay tuned! Thank you for always supporting our school and helping us make Turtleback such a special community.

For new families, we created a map of arrival and dismissal protocols (above). We hope everyone is patient and especially careful, when traffic is hectic, learning the routine. Thank you so much for helping us take care of our most precious humans.

All parents and families are invited to campus to see Leader in Me in action—our students will lead the entire event from start to finish! Come to the MPR after you drop your student at the gate, to visit with friends, then find a spot to cheer on our Terrapin leaders as they lead our first assembly of the year! Stay after the Friday Flag for an informal Q&A with Mrs. Maguire.

• Friday, August 28th - Gilu Italian Ice After School
• Friday, September 4 – Friday Flag @ 7:45 in the MPR, stay after the Friday Flag for a Principal Chat with Mrs. Maguire. If you have any questions, suggestions, input - please submit them here!
• Monday, September 7 – Labor Day - No school for students or staff.
• September 21-24 - Book Fair Week
• Tuesday, September 22 - Minimum Day (all students dismiss at 11:55)

Edupoint has released a modernized ParentVUE (New) mobile application and retired the older ParentVUE app. Families should download the updated version to maintain access to student grades, schedules, and attendance records. Here are some easy directions you might provide to families:

How to Get Started with ParentVUE (New)

• Remove Old App: Delete the old ParentVUE app from your phone first so the new version functions correctly.

• Download: Search for ParentVUE (New) directly in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or follow the upgrade prompt inside your legacy (old) ParentVUE app.

• Connect to District: Open the new app, swipe through the intro, and search for your school district using your postal zip code.

• Log In: If prompted, select "Already Activated" if you already have an account, and sign in using your existing username and password.
