North View Middle School dance team grows in numbers and opportunities
In its first three years, the North View Middle School (NVMS) dance team has grown from a group of around 10 participants to nearly 70 students today.
The dance team includes both a dance elective class during the school day and an after-school club that meets at least once per week.
Schools host spring D.A.R.E. graduations
Fifth grade students from four district elementary schools graduated from the D.A.R.E. program in May. The schools include Oak View, Cedar Island, Weaver Lake and Rush Creek elementary schools.
D.A.R.E. officers and Maple Grove Police Department command staff visited the school for the celebrations of students' commitment to stay drug and violence free as they embark on their next chapter in their academic career.

Community Education program receives grant to support family wellness
Osseo Area Schools’ Early Childhood & Family Education program was approved for a planning grant this year in partnership with the Northwest Family Resource Collaborative (NWFRC) to create a Family Wellness Framework that will support the well-being of families with young children.
